CLIA Lab Director
Dr. Routh is a recognized leader in pathology and laboratory medicine with expertise in bioinformatics and molecular oncology. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He joined Elephas formally after two years as a valued advisor. Previous work experience includes leading a clinical laboratory specializing in whole-exome and whole-transcriptome sequencing for advanced malignancies. Dr. Routh sees that eLIVE helps resolve gaps in cancer care that he observed clinically.
CLIA Lab General Supervisor
Oghenetejiri (TJ) Okumagba is a tenured laboratory operations leader with extensive experience across clinical, preclinical, and research laboratory environments. He brings nearly four years of high-throughput clinical laboratory management experience, along with more than a decade of preclinical operations leadership spanning government, CRO, biopharmaceutical, and academic settings. TJ holds a BSc from the University of Benin and certifications in Good Laboratory Practice and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
At Elephas, TJ serves as the General Supervisor for the CLIA-certified Elephas Laboratories, where he oversees daily operations, ensures quality and regulatory compliance, and leads technical troubleshooting, process optimization and workforce development, partnering with R&D and engineering teams to support platform advancement. He is driven by the potential of the Elephas eLive test to strengthen laboratory rigor, accelerate translational cancer research and precision oncology, ultimately improving patient care.
Manager, Development
Mikaela has over seven years of experience in the life sciences industry, working for start-ups and a pharmaceutical CRO. She holds dual degrees—a B.S. in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology and a B.A. in Chemistry from Drake University. Over the past five years at Elephas, Mikaela has worked across both R&D and Operations to build the platform and support deployments. She currently manages a team of scientists and leads the eLIVE customer support function, working closely with laboratory and IT teams to deliver seamless solutions. Mikaela is passionate about the clarity and efficiency that eLIVE brings to the industry, believing it plays a critical role in improving patient care and advancing healthcare outcomes.
